Interior Light Study
| Transformation and Definition by User Affordance |
Georgia Tech, Fall 2019
This project’s objective was to understand the play of light within an interior space; light and shadow are used as tools to identify a space for different, yet versatile, purposes. Because of the dimensional constraints, each design choice needed to serve multiple uses. By using different levels of height, the user would be able to experience various spatial awarenesses despite the confined space. The overall rhetoric of the decisions revolved around the reactive aspects of the living space. A person’s lifestyle and human nature would define the space.
